They play mellow, acoustic songs so this show should be a real “tea sipper” as we like to say. So come, relax, and enjoy. An evening of folk music and storytelling with Toledo Oregon’s Frank Jones and Eugene’s Low Tide Drifters.

Frank Jones has been singing and writing songs for over 40 years. His influences include Woody Guthrie, Pete Seeger, Cisco Houston, Bobby Bare, and Tom Russell. Frank is often referred to as “the cultural mayor of Toledo,” and is the organizer of the Annual Toledo Folk Festival every summer.
The Low Tide Drifters are a folk band with deep roots in the cultural heritage of the Pacific Northwest. They combine a love of folk, blues, and country music with original lyrics to produce their unique sound. Whether singing about Lake County loggers, a waitress trying to make it out of a stunted coastal economy, or fishing towns turned tourist traps, they are doing something few other bands are doing today, writing music that paints a picture of everyday working people.
Show starts at 7pm. It is all-ages until 9pm. No Cover. Donations encouraged.
Thanks for your patience everyone. The phone company finally tracked down their screw-up and have repaired the cafe’s wifi.

Sisters Emily Afanador and Mollie Ziegler collaborate once again, now as “Douglas County Daughters”, a project dedicated to the art of the voice and the song. While this act is relatively new, the two women have performed extensively throughout the Pacific Northwest for over twenty combined years. Favorite stages range from Seattle’s elegant Benaroya Hall to Tacoma’s intimate Antique Sandwich Company, and include Seattle’s Tractor Tavern and Eugene’s Sam Bond’s Garage. Their varied and vocally driven repertoire highlights American popular music spanning roots, lounge, jazz, blues, and folk genres, and is littered with their own original works
