July 17, 2010
7:00 pmto10:00 pm

An evening of folk music and storytelling with Toledo Oregon’s Frank Jones and Eugene’s Low Tide Drifters.

Frank Jones has been singing and writing songs for over 40 years. His influences include Woody Guthrie, Pete Seeger, Cisco Houston, Bobby Bare, and Tom Russell. Frank is often referred to as “the cultural mayor of Toledo,” and is the organizer of the Annual Toledo Folk Festival every summer.

The Low Tide Drifters are a folk band with deep roots in the cultural heritage of the Pacific Northwest. They combine a love of folk, blues, and country music with original lyrics to produce their unique sound. Whether singing about Lake County loggers, a waitress trying to make it out of a stunted coastal economy, or fishing towns turned tourist traps, they are doing something few other bands are doing today, writing music that paints a picture of everyday working people.

Show starts at 7pm. It is all-ages until 9pm. No Cover. Donations encouraged.
